Section of Suburb-of-North

The Section of Suburb-of-North was represented with the Commune of Paris by:

  • Barelle;
  • Jean-Louis Gibert (1751 -1794), pastrycook, guillotine on Thermidor 11 year (July 29th, 1794);
  • Andre Marcel (1741 -1794), mason, guillotine on Thermidor 11 year (July 29th, 1794).

This section initially was called “section of the Saint-Denis Suburb” and took the name of Suburb-of-North in January 1793.

Population: : 11630 inhabitants, of which: 3220 workmen and: 1940 lower-income group.
