Section of Finistere

Last section in the official nomenclature. Before August 1792, it was called section of the Goblins .

Territory: sector of the south-eastern part of the Paris of the time, being neighborly with the sections of the Sans-culottes and the Observatory.

Population: 11.775 inhabitants, including 613 workmen and an imposing mass of 4.950 lower-income group.

This section remained faithful to the national Convention, except two of its representatives, Antoine Gency and Marc Mercier who were on guillotines Thermidor 10 year (July 28th, 1794) and Thermidor 11 year (July 29th, 1794).
