Secretariat of the United Nations
The Secrétariat of the United Nations is one of the principal bodies of UNO. At its head is the General secretary of the United Nations.
Its role
The role of the Secretariat of UNO is purely administrative, like the realization of the translations or the organization of the meetings. It makes sure of the good performance of UNO and its agencies.It is also given the responsability to make studies which will be transmitted to the adequate bodies of UNO, so as to bring to their attention of the subjects that the Secretariat judges important. The communication with the media is also of its spring.
Composition
The Secretariat is only made up of civilians, approximately 8.600. The latter must lend oath not to be influenced by whoever.
