the secret Life of Walter Mitty ( Secret The Life off Walter Mitty ) is an American film of Norman Z. McLeod left in 1947, and carried out starting from the news of the same name written by James Thurber published in the New Yorker in 1941.

Synopsis

A young publicity agent, Walter Mitty (Danny Kaye), works as corrector in a publisher of " pulp fictions" (works of horror at a cheap rate). During daydreams, he thinks in turn captain of a vessel corsair, pilot of the RAF, etc In each one of these scenes, he sees a superb fair young girl (Virginia Mayo) in danger. Until the day when, inopportunely, it is found vis-a-vis a true network of spies to the continuation of the fair young girl, quite real. Obviously, nobody believes it in his entourage. He thus fights only vis-a-vis a too soft psychoanalyst being honest (Boris Karloff) and a whole band of characters directed not an impassioned Dutch professor of pinks.
