Secrecy off Evermore

Secret off Evermore is a Video game of the type Action RPG exclusive with the Super Nintendo and developed by Square. It left on September 18th, 1995 to the the United States and on February 22nd, 1996 in Europe.

Gameplay

The play tells the adventures of a teenager and of its dog which are transported in the world of Perpetuated, which presents for characteristic to comprise four areas representing four different times (Prehistory, Antiquité, Renaissance and Future). As the hero goes in these regions, its dog changes form, passing from the prehistoric lout molosse to the hurled greyhound, while passing by the ridiculous poodle then the launching dog-toaster of the laser beams… Whatever the times, the dog is very useful for its sense of smell which enables you to find ingredients. It is possible to take the control of the dog while pressing on the button " Select" but not to play two by its intermediary.

The hero is not in remainder. He must take the control of four types of different weapons: Swords (the femur is regarded as a sword), the lances which have the characteristic to be disposable on a certain level of power, the axes which are especially used to break rocks and the Bazooka whose introduction gives us a first impression. Especially, the hero can make use of alchemical formulas by mixing the ingredients quoted above. Thanks to them, it is able to launch fates and to increase the level by it; However the number of ingredients is limited and it must take guard to be used of these formulas with parsimony. At the beginning of the play, a formula (Levitation) been the subject of a whole intrigue since it requires very rare pepper. It is however possible to buy certain ingredients. In the same way the hero cannot carry all the formulas; He must choose those which will be most useful for him.

With the wire of the history, the hero meets characters who offer their assistance via chains allowing to him the hero to make use of powerful magics which do not require any ingredient of him. However the number of chains is limited even if a formula makes it possible to create some.

Except for the ingredients, the inventory is managed in the form of rings just like in Secret off Mana or Seiken Densetsu 3

History

The history proceeds in Pontoise (VF). The hero is simple a quidam which went to see a film in company of its dog. Whereas it leaves there, its dog is attracted by a cat which runs. The prosecutor, the animal is mislaid in a manor. Whereas the hero penetrates there, it sees a strange machine. He is then transported in the world of Perpetuated. He will meet there four people victims of an experiment being unrolled there is himself thirty years (Ember Glance, Alec Orbusier, Anémone Dujardin and professor Rouflaquette). Since they occupy a whole an important place in these worlds and that they all of were impassioned these times, all will conclueront some quickly that the areas of Perpetuated were born from their respective imaginations.
