February 10th, the ship of German transport Steuben is cast at sea Baltique by a Soviet submarine
- February 13rd:
- the Soviet army penetrates in Budapest.
- British and American Bombardments on Dresden. Most of the city is destroyed. Hundreds of thousands of deaths.
