  • April 7th:

    • the Dutch capitulate with Sumatra.
    • the Americans capitulate with the Filipino .
  • April 8th:

    • Polish resistance informs London of the gazage of the Juifs to Chełmno.
  • April 9th:

    • Capitulation of the American troops of the Peninsula of Baatan: 76  000 prisoners.
  • April 15th:

    • the cross of George is allotted to Malta by the king George VI for “heroism and the devotion”.
    • the American general MacArthur is named commander-in-chief of the forces combined in the Pacific.

  • April 18th:

    • Incursion of an American flotilla (of sixteen B-25) ordered by colonel James Doolittle on Nagoya, Tokyo and Yokohama.
  • April 19th:

    • Attempt at attack to Rennes against Doriot: a grenade is launched in a room where it is expressed.
  • April 27th:

    • Referendum on the conscription with the Canada. The country votes yes to 63%, the Quebec vote not to 71%.
  • April 27th:

    • the Britanniques launch an air offensive against Kiel with 1  000 bombers.
