Second home
The second home is a dwelling other than the Main home , i.e. a dwelling where the person who places there led there activities known as “secondary”.
Problems
Certain people have several dwellings which they in turn occupy in the year. For example, a person who lives in her apartment downtown eleven months of the year and which spends her summer holidays in its country house, has two residences. First is described as Main home and the other, of second home. In the same way, a person who travels all the year of one of her many residences to another, will not have fact that of only one Main home and many second home.
Use
A second home is a housing used for the weekends, the Loisir S or the Vacances. The furnished residences rented (or to rent) for tourist stays are also classified in second home. The distinction between occasional residences and second home is sometimes difficult to establish, this is why, the two categories are often gathered (definition of INSEE going back to 2005).Since the Fifties, the quantity of second home in France did not cease growing. Today, its 3 million units accounts for 10% of the national park residential - what, according to the French financial press, is world records. The secondary house became a social phenomenon in growth and becoming, as attest some the statistics of INSEE, the studies sociological, and the multitude of press and Internet sites devoted to this subject (West coast, Is, Southern, residence-secondaire.fr). It is a phenomenon which “relates to all the social layers, all the mediums and all the ages” according to the sociologist Francoise Dubost and who, according to Jean Viard, colonizes the urban desire campaign, transforming it into “a zone of habitat, ludic behavior, memory, and agricultural production. ”
