Geographical and demographic description
The second district of Maine-et-Loire is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions:
- Canton of Angers-South
- Canton of Angers-Trélazé
- Canton of the Chalonnes-on-Loire
- Canton of Chemillé
- Canton of the Bridge-of-C.
According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the total population of this district is estimated at 116008 habitants, .
