The second district of Corrèze is delimited by the electoral Découpage of the law n°86-1197 of the November 24th 1986 , it gathers the following administrative divisions: Cantons of Ayen, Brive Centers, Brive North-eastern, Brive North-western, Brive South-eastern, Brive South-western, Larche, Malemort-on-Corrèze, Meyssac.
According to the general Census of the population in 1999, carried out by the National institute of the Statistics and Economic studies (INSEE), the total population of this district is estimated at 88778 habitants, .
