Second book of the Chronicles
The second book of the Chronicles is a book of the Old Testament.
1 and 2 Chronicles contain a short history of the events since Creation until the proclamation of Cyrus which made it possible the Juifs to turn over to Jerusalem.
Summary
Chapters 1 to 9 tell the reign of Solomon. Chapters 10 to 12 speak about the reign of Roboam, wire of Solomon, during which the United Kingdom of Israel was divided into kingdom of the north and kingdom of the south. Chapters 13 to 36 describe the reigns of the various kings until the catch of the Royaume of Juda by Nebucadnetsar. The book ends with the decree of Cyrus making it possible to the captive children of Juda to go back to Jerusalem.
