Second Band of the Falcon

These characters belong to the universe of the Manga Berserk

After the resurrection of Griffith, this last decided to reconstitute its army of the Falcons, thus renaquit the Band of the Falcon. The members of the new band of course does not count aucuns members of origin of the band except for its leader. It functions like an army with its spécialiées troops, its commanders, etc…

Thus, the generals all are of the major Apostles, the minor demon, shock troops to see recent Apôtres, the army also cash in its many rows human ones.

Apostle Zodd

Zodd appears in volume 5 of the manga. It is initially presented like a private, who resists all the attacks, then like “Zodd the immortal one”, a mythical being, which wandered of battle field in battle field, always victorious. Guts penetrates then in the castle which it holds to kill it: it is about a monster to the blazing eyes, of superhuman size, which soon will be moulted in true demon in front of the resistance of Guts (a chimerical kind of crossing of dog, ram and bat). This last resists to him thanks to its sword, but cannot overcome it; Griffith, come to its rescue, of it will not be able either.

Zodd ends nevertheless up leaving, after having seen Béhélit which Griffith carries. Previously, it makes a prediction with Guts: “If this man (Griffith) is your friend, when its ambition is blocked, death will come to visit you, and you will not be able to escape to him! ”.

Zodd reappears in volume 11 of the manga, where it " sauve" the troop of the falcon of the attack of Wyald), monster sent by king de Midland to the continuation of the troop. Wyald seems to know Zodd and seems under the authority of higher beings, Griffith which can be one of these. Wyald trying to threaten Griffith, is then quickly demolishes by Zodd which literally slices it into two of a blow of horn.

Zodd is in fact an apostle (just like Wyald, which explains why he knows himself). In fact monsters humanoides populate the universe of Berserk and which is under the orders of God Hand, whose Griffith is the last member. He protects his Masters indeed when Skullnight tries arréter the Eclipse and more or less seems to make good match with him.

A little later, réincarné Griffith requires of him to join the new brigade of the falcons made up Apostles of which he will be the war leader, which he accepts. Whereas it had a neutral role rather before, it positions now clearly like an adversary of Guts.

Zodd is contrary in the majority of the Apostles still more or less same as front one. Whereas the majority of his/her companions were driven as tyrants or war leader, it is carried out only in the combat, its power empéchant it to find worthy of him. It follows with interest the quète of Guts which it estimates like an opponent of value and has still an account to regulate with Skullnight which had sliced an arm to him (now regenerated).

Locus apostle

Locus is a famous Apostle in the Kingdom of Midland, better known as being invincible Chevalier of the Moonlight, a rider whose exploits at the time of tournaments are innumerable. Nobody knows nevertheless that a démoniaque creature under the features of this warrior is hiding place. It is an expert with the lance of tournament and the chief of the riders of the new Brigade of the Falcons.

Locus is a man posed and intelligent, far from the rough drunk one of blood which one generally counts among the Apostles. Its section of shock is itself forméee recent Apostles, returning this troop mortal.

Its true appearance is that of a metal centaur, handling a double lance of duel.

Grundbeld apostle

Another Apostle having sworn obedience with Griffith. It is about a gigantic warrior, whose armor and shield point out the dragons of the legends (its shield hides a gun besides, like the left arm of Guts). It went formerly only celebrates by crushing the army of a small country to him!

In the army of Griffith, he is the commander of the armor-plated démoniaques troops. Its true appearance of Apostle, very logically, is that of a gigantic crystal dragon. In addition to becoming larger, more resistant and powerful, Grundbeld can now spit of fire.

Grundbeld is a noble warrior of spirit which as Zodd seeks enemies worthy of this name. It defied Guts and after having lost, swore to him that they would be found for revenge.

Irvine apostle

Another Apostle whose look does not resemble badly that of Robin of Wood. It is an archer highly skilled, able to draw with precision several arrows at the same time. He is very quiet, speaking only with Sonia and still, well little. He is defined itself as a solitary hunter, and entrusts to Sonia that after days of trackings, he realizes that he becomes more or less a bète itself. Irvine has the funny ones of eyes, without pupils nor iris. It would seem moreover than it appreciates the Luth, since one can see it playing about it.

Very logically, it directs the archers of Griffith.

Rakshas

A legendary assassin Kushan. It is perpetually wrapped of a long cape and a white mask in three eyes. It is extremely fast and nimble and seems to fight without weapon. Its reasons which one thorough to rejoin the cause of Griffith are vague, he indeed said to him that he would help it to achieve his rève, then would kill it with his hands.

He is most solitary of the soldiers of Griffith, but it seems that he takes an interest in Silat which continues it to cut down it.

Sonia

This young woman is undoubtedly more normal appointed servants of Griffith. In spite of its young age and its apparent brittleness, it is useful because of its gifts of telepathy. It seems respected even Apostles, who are however not men granting their confidence easily.

It tries to maintain cohesion within the band, being pleasant with the various Apostles, teasing Grundbeld, outgoing Irvine of its loneliness, discussing with Locus, etc… It is often accompanied by Mule, a young soldier of which it saved the life. They spend their time to chamailler, Mule trying of empécher Sonia to make bétises or to embarrass people.

It is rather jealous of the Princess Charlotte, owing to the fact that it are both in love with Griffith. It also bound of friendship with Schierke, without knowing that it made started from enemies group.

Mule

Mule is a son of the nobility of Midland, which took the weapons against the Kushans armies and which carries out a small troop. It was saved by the troop of Griffith and escaped during the combat from dead thanks to the telepathic warnings from Sonia. The latter being an central element to ensure cohesion in the army, Mule was in charge of its protection. In fact, Mule is used especially as baby-sitter for the young girl, who does about all that one should not make in period of combat. Contrary to much the noble ones of Midland, Mule is not those filled of arrogance, it is equipped with a combattif spirit and is full with tact.
