Second Arrival

Several religious currents resulting from the Christianisme refer in their Doctrine to the Second Arrival of the Christ.

Catholics, orthodoxe, Anglicans

August 1st

Pilot of Jéhovah

The interpretation of the Second Arrival is very important in the doctrines of the Témoins of Jéhovah, because those support that it occurred in 1914, and that instead of an apocalyptic advent, it must be interpreted like an invisible presence, and that events characteristic of the “time of the end” leading to Har-Maguédôn occur starting from this date.

Mormonisme

In the theology of the Mormonisme, the Second Arrival refers to the second arrival of Jesus-Christ. When Jesus-Christ is assembled to the skies at the end of her ministry under the condition mortal, two angels declared with its apostles: “This Jesus, who was removed with the sky of the medium of you, will return in the same way that you saw it going to the sky” (Acts 1:11). According to the Holy Scriptures, when Jesus-Christ returns, it will come in power and glory to make ground its kingdom. Its second arrival will be a time of fear and lamentations for the malicious ones but it will be one day of peace and victory for the right ones. The events and the signs which must precede the Second Arrival are described in the Holy Scriptures (29:4 Tests - 18, Joel 2:30,31, Malachie 4:5 - 6, Matthieu 24, Actes 3:19 - 21, 2 Thessaloniciens 2:1 - 3, 2 Timothée 3:1 - 7, Apocalypse 14:6 - 7). The Second Arrival will mark the beginning of the Millénium.
