The sebkha Ariana or sebkha of Ariana is a basin or Sebkha of: 5000 Hectare S located at the north of the Lake Tunis from which it is separated by the Plaine from Soukra. A dune cord Littoral extending between Raoued and Gammarth separates it from the Golfe from Tunis. It communicates with the sea in an intermittent way thanks to an opening on the level of the beach of Raoued.

The main issues of the sebkha are related to the ponding, in particular in rain periods, which involves an slight increase of the level of the tablecloth of the neighbouring zones.
