Sebastiane
Sebastiane is the title of a Film discussed, written and carried out by Derek Jarman and Paul Humfress left in 1976. It takes as a starting point the legendary life of Saint Sebastien and illustrates in particular the famous martyr where the saint is bored arrows.
Synopsis
Sebastiane is a young soldier of an outpost of the Roman army where the soldiers, in lack of women, devotes themselves sometimes to homosexuality. It binds with soldiers, of which the Justin young person. Their centurion, Severus, try to allure Sebastiane which pushes back it. Severus diverts it then other soldiers and condemns it to death. His/her comrades must strip each one to him an arrow.

Sebastiane was turned in Latin, it is entirely the only British film English subtitle.The film made scandal because of its homosexual second reading of the life and the Martyr of Saint Sebastien, holy catholic of which the many representations often release some Homoérotisme.
The dialogs of Welch Jack are deliberately written in current Latin of the time rather than in a very academic language.
The choreography of the prolog is of Lindsay Kemp and its troop, the music of Andrew Wilson.
