From origin indonésienne, Sebastian Sturm passes its childhood and its adolescence to Aachen (Germany). During its adolescence, it makes party of a group of punk which it founds with friends. But, gradually, it realizes that it is not made for the punk one: as well on the level of its voice as of its musical tastes.
It is at age the 20 years that it created its first group of reggae with his/her friends, which enables him to polish its voice and to be accustomed to the melodies reggae. Fan of Burning Spear, Sturm has influences reggae roots such as Bob Marley and The Wailers, Mighty Diamonds or The Gladiators, which can be found in its creations. It is into 2004 that Sturm joined Jin Jin Band, reggae group German existing since the beginning of the Nineties. They take 2 years to write their first album “This changes is Nice” which remains faithful to rhythmic the reggae roots, refreshing and new in particular thanks to the voice of Sebastian Sturm.
Old from now on of 27 years and father of a 2 year old girl, to whom it dedicated the album, it is discovered with the general public in particular thanks to its appearance in Summerjam 2007 (Germany) and Reggae Sun Ska 2007 (France) Belonging to the same generation as Groundation and Soldiers off Jah Army, Sebastian Sturm and Jin Jin Band are the revelation reggae 2007. Its second album is planned for spring 2008…
