Seat 132
In April 1973, Seat 132 is launched on the Spanish market. It is the certified copy of the FIAT 132; it comes to supplement the Seat range.
As for the Italian original, three versions are thus proposed: 1600,1600 Lujo and 1800 Lujo. Only characteristic, a Diesel engine is also available as of the first series, it is provided by Mercedes-Benz with which FIAT-Seat maintained positive ratios very, MB equipped already Seat 1500L with 1960.
Like the FIAT 132, the second version of 1975 receives some esthetic final improvements which bring up to date the line, as a more plunging grill, larger side panes, or rear lights squares.
In 1978, Seat presents the third series of the 132. All the range is strictly in conformity with model FIAT 132. All the engines are identical to the model Italian 1600 and 2000 including the diesel 2400 FIAT Sofim, the same one which equipped Renault 25. Like his/her Italian cousin, FIAT 132, it has of reinforced black bumpers and side protections.
After its stop of manufacture following the rupture of the licensing agreements with FIAT, Seat 132 will never be replaced.
