- the All-Star Range 2003 is held with the Philips Arena with Atlanta. The AlStars of the West beat AlStars of East 1355-145 after two prolongations, that is to say longest AlStar Range of the history of the NBA. Kevin Garnett (Minnesota Timberwolves) is elected MVP.
- the Hornets are relocated with New Orleans, involving a two years absence in the State of Caroline, before the birth of the Charlotte Bobcats in 2004. They play their first match with the New Orleans Arena.
- Michael Jordan announces her third and last withdrawal of the world of the Basket-ball. He plays his last match on April 16th, 2003 in Philadelphia.
