Season LNH 1976-1977
The season LNH 1976 - 77 was the 60e regular season of the National league of hockey. The eighteen teams played each one 80 matches.
Since the Season LNH 1934-35 and the departure of the original frankness from the Senators d' Ottawa towards Saint-Louis, no other team had moved. This season, two franknesses change city:
- the Scouts of Kansas City go to Denver in the Colorado becoming thus the Rockies of Colorado,
- the Golden Seals of California go to Cleveland in the Ohio to form the Barons de Cleveland.
Regular season
The last season had seen two records falling via the Canadian from Montreal: the number of victories and the number of points. This season, the Canadians exceed themselves and once again make assemble these records carrying them to 60 victories and 132 points. In residence, on 40 matches, they had only one defeat and six ties.At the end of the season, the Canadians have 26 points in advance on the Bruins of Boston, second of the classification.
