Season LNH 1932-1933

The season LNH 1932-33 was the sixteenth season of the National league of hockey, during which 9 teams played 48 matches.

It was the first season that the president of the LNH, Frank Calder, decreed the trophy of the best recruit. The rewarded first was Carl Voss Falcons de Detroit. Lastly, these same Falcons decided to re-elect and take the name under which today they are known: the Red Wings de Détroit.

Regular season

After one season without play in order to try to remake itself financially speaking, it is the return of the Senators d' Ottawa within the LNH. They carry out a very good first part of season but crumble in second part and finish last Canadian division. Contrary the Canadian to Montreal badly began the season but succeeded in extremis placing itself 3rd of division and consequently to qualify itself for the eliminatory series.

Red Wings and the Bruins of Boston finished the season with the same number of points: 58, thus beating both the record which was then in place. Because of the particular goal average, it was Bruins which was declared victorious Division American.
