Season LNH 1919-1920

The season 1919 - 20 is the third season of the National league of hockey. Each team played 24 parts.

Regular season

After the former season, the LNH was on the edge of the pit. But the situation was rectified when the Arenas of Toronto, which suspended their operations in the middle of the former season, found a new owner one day before the beginning of the regular season and which the team is famous Saint-Patricks of Toronto. The Bulldogs of Quebec which did not take part in the first two seasons because of money worries find finally a team although she does not know a succès.
Joe Malone, in a part which finished by the mark of 10-2, mark 7 goals the January 31st 1920, a record which holds always today.

Eliminatory series of the Cut Stanley

As the Senators gained the two halves of the regular season, they were ensured to take part in the finale of the Coupe Stanley and not to have to play a series against another team of the LNH. They gain thus the Trophée O' Brien.

To represent the Pacific Coast Hockey Association the Metropolitans of Seattle left gaining in a heat fights where only two victories separated the three teams. All the parts were to be played Ottawa, but hot time forced the teams to play the two last parts with Toronto.
