Season LAH 1992-1993

The season 1992 - 93 of the American Ligue of hockey was the 57e season of the league. Sixteen teams played each one 80 matches of regular season. The Oilers of Cape-Breton the gained the Coupe Calder.

eliminatory Series

Bill McDougall, player of the Oilers of Cape-Breton the marked 26 goals, 26 assistances for a total of 52 points in only 16 matches of series establishing a record thus, in professional hockey, of 3,25 points per match of series.

The series are organized as follows:

  • the first four teams of each division are qualified. The first meets the fourth and the second faces the third with best of the seven matches. The winners clash again with best of the seven matches.
  • Among the three gaining teams, that which obtained the most points in regular season is qualified directly for the final of the Calder cut while the two others clash with best of the three matches for the profit of the second place of finalist.
  • the final is played best of the seven matches.
