Season LAH 1941-1942

The season 1941 - 42 of the American Ligue of hockey was the sixth season of the league.

Ten teams divided into two divisions played each one 56 matches.

The Capitals of Indianapolis gained the Trophée F.G. “Teddy” Oke as well as the Cut Calder.

Match of stars

The first match of stars of the LAH was organized the February 3rd 1942 with Cleveland. It was created with an aim of joining together funds in order to support the effort of war of the armies American and Canadian at the time of the Second world war. The best players of each division clashed and equips it with the east beat that of the west by 5 goals with 4.

The three first of each division are qualifiés.
Les matches of the series are organized as follows:
  • the winners of each division clash with best of the five matches, the winner reaches directly the finale.
  • the second of each division clash with best of the three matches, the third make in the same way. The winners clash with best of the three matches. The winner reaches the finale.
  • the final is played best of the five matches.
