Season 1971-1972 of Rangers FC out of cut of Europe

At the time of the season 1971-1972, the Rangers take part in the Coupe of Europe of the Winners of Cut.

Pulled by William Waddell, they become (after two finales lost in 1961 and 1967), the first Scottish team to gain this competition. It is the first, and to date only, European title glané by the Rangers FC.

The invasion of the lawn of the Nou Camp at the time of finale was sanctioned of a one year prohibition of any European competition.
