Seaside (group)

Seaside was a group French of Rock originating in Toulouse.

Biography

2000 - 2001

Seaside is founded in January 2000, in Toulouse: Jean-Baptiste Saez with the song and the guitar, Yohan Hennequin with the battery, Arnaud Laffont with the guitar and Eric Soulé with low.

As of March, they record a demonstration to canvass their first scenes. One year after its formation, the group puts out of box 13 titles and leaves in February Purple Side , a first demonstration-album, enabling them to pass on the local mediums (press, radios, TV, compilation).

In November, the arrival of a new bass player Akira affirms the ambitions of growth of the quartet.

2002 - 2003

The frequency in the concerts increases: it is the beginning of “Purple Side Tour”. Seaside “foams” little by little the local café concerts and festivals. In June 2002, the group is programmed in first part of English of The Electric Soft Parades, right before devoting itself to the preparation of a new disc. In 2003, Yannick Tournier (Psykup), produced Orphan with the group, which joined in February Phi-One within the collective Infusion. The concerts proceed from now on in the great Western south (Bordeaux, Montpellier.) and give place to strong meetings with in particular the Zombie-Eaters, Dham… In May, Seaside opens for Superbus in front of a thousand of people: an experiment without precedent which fills the members of the group! “Purple Side Tour” is completed there, after forty dates. With the autumn, whereas Orphan leaves to pressing, Baptiste Bouchard replaces Arnaud with the guitar.

2004 - 2006

In January 2004, Orphan leaves on the Musicast label. Accommodated well by the press, it is classified discovered month in the magazine Rock Soud of March 2004 and selection Reperage in fire the Rage magazine. In 2005 it is Orphan Tour: a dozen date through France (La Rochelle, Brest, Nantes, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Cannes, Marseilles, Auch, Paris, Annecy…)

And finally, in July 2006, the adventure finishes. Yohan and Baptiste devote themselves from now on to Aeria Microcosme, will akira in Agora Fidelio and Jean Baptiste with his career solo. In addition, Arnaud (ex-guitarist) is from now on the singer of Haste Me Tender (of which the first album is recorded by Baptiste)
