Sean Hill

Sean Hill , born the February 14th 1970 with Duluth, Minnesota, the United States, is a player of professional hockey which evolves/moves like defender for the Islanders of New York, in the National league of hockey (LNH).

Career in the LNH

Sean Hill was a choice of 8th round, 167รจ on the whole, for the Canadian of Montreal to the fishing out amateur of 1988. He disputed his first meeting in the LNH in 1991 during the eliminatory series with Montreal. After the Olympic ones of 1992, where it defended the colors of the United States, it joined the regular training of the Canadians during the season 1992-93, and gained with this team the Coupe Stanley in spring 1993.

Hill also played for Anaheim, Ottawa, the Caroline (twice), St.Louis and the Florida, before joining Islanders in 2006.

Suspension

The April 20th 2007, Hill, 37 years, was suspended for 20 matches without wages by the National league of hockey, for use of prohibited substances. The nature of these substances was not revealed, the LNH saying to be obliged to respect the confidentiality on this subject. The defender began his suspension the very same day, in eliminating heats, at the time of the last match of Islanders, which were eliminated by Buffalo. Sean Hill will purge the 19 remaining parts with his suspension at the beginning of regular season 2007-2008. The director-general of Islanders, Garth Snow, said himself in agreement with the decision of the League.

Olympic Games

Sean Hill took part in the Winter Olympics in Albertville in 1992 with the team of the United States.
