The sea of Scotia () is a sea in extreme cases of the Antarctic Ocean and Atlantic Ocean, ranging between the Ground of Fire, the Péninsule the Antarctic and the |South Georgia.

Named thus in 1932 according to the Scotia , the ship of forwarding used on this sea by the National Scottish Antarctic Forwarding (1902 - 1904) under the direction of William S. Bruce.

The most famous crossing of this icy sea was made in 1916 by Sir Ernest Shackleton and four other companions in a boat of help (named James Caird ) when they left the island Eléphant and reached the South Georgia, two weeks later.
