The sea of Hébrides is a Mer épicontinentale of the Atlantic Ocean located at the the United Kingdom, on the west coast of the Scotland, between the South of the archipelago of the Hébrides external and North of the archipelago of the interior Hébrides.

The sea of Hébrides communicates directly with the Atlantic Ocean by the south and indirectly with this same ocean via different the Détroit S formed between the various islands of Hébrides external in the west and by the strait called The Little Minch which communicates to north with The Minch, another sea épicontinentale of the Atlantic Ocean. The sea of Hébrides contains in whole or part of very many island S belonging to the archipelago of the Hébrides.
