Sea foam
The Sea foam is a sailing of coastal cruising drawn by the architect Jean-Marie Finot in 1969. It will be produced until in 1980 with 1 385 specimens.
History
Jean-Marie Finot designs this boat intended for coastal cruising following a training course at Philippe Harlé. The French building sites are not interested but Dutch Walter Huisman is and proposes to build the Sea foam if this one is increased to reach the size quarter-to thunder . The boat runs Quarter Your Cup 68, then gains the Delta Race 68 in Holland. In 1969, it gains the races of the GCL as well as the Delta Cup 69, and draws the attention of the Australian Eric Bradley.
Andre Costa, writer with the Books of the Yachting , assistance to find a building site. It is the Mallard building site with La Rochelle which will accept and which will contruira the boat in Stratifié, with a hull in form rather than with Bouchain S. the boat is built in this form until in 1975. It gains in 1970 Quarter Your Cup. A version for the regattas, Small flower , is created in 1972, including inter alia a bridge flush-deck. The same year, the boat starts to be built with the Japan.
A new version leaves in 1975 and receives the price of the “Boat of the year”; it includes improvements of comfort like the return of the Drisse S to the cockpit, of the toe-clips and the improved handrails. In 1976, the Roof is lengthened. Construction stops in 1980.
On board its Sea foam " Boroboudour" , Michel Martin will carry out a round the world tour without engine of 1980 to 1985.
