Sežana

Sežana (Italian: Sesana) is a city and a municipality in the Karst area of Slovenia. SEZANA is an important city of Slovenia close to the Italian border; an administrative center of the area Kras - Brkini (known also like the metropolis of Kras).

The city develops and increases all the time, also thanks to the building firm Kraski zidar, one of the more large companies of this kind as Slovenia. The Community of Sezana also invests in the infrastructure of the city. When somebody goes for the walk has foot or in the car through the city, it with the impression to be in some more big city of Slovenia (Ljubljana, Maribor…).

The majority of the population is employed by a rather great number of factories, companies and tradesmen (Mitol, Jadran, Kras, Kraski zidar, BTC Terminal, Gold Club, Marmor, Boma, KSP, Kraski vodovod, Metra, Armeton, Sea, Vinakras, Krasoprema…) located in this zone. A great number of people come same to work has Sezana of the areas of Postojna and Ilirska Bistrica.

With proximity celebrates it stud farm of Lipica is located (old 400 years), which attracts a considerable number tourists. In Lipica two hotels are and has same Sezana two hotels and a motel which are intended to the tourists, business men and hosts of passage. Sezana is located in a central point between Ljubljana, Triest and the Adriatique coast, and for this reason so much of the tourists and the organized groups sleep in the town halls and during the day they make the voyages in the varied directions (Lipica, caves of Postojna, Skocjanske jame (caves), Kras, Stanjel, Ljubljana, Trieste, Adriatic Sea…). Of course so much of things can also be seen in the city: the famous botanical park, the room commemorative of poet Srecko Kosovel, the walk by the way of the study of the Tabor forest, the way of the study of the natural and cultural heritage of the city, walk by the way commemorative of Srecko Kosovel de Sezana with Tomaj etc.
