SdKfz 253

The SdKfz 253 ( Leichter Gepanzerter Beobachtungskraftwagen ) was a German halftrack of observation of Artillerie of the Second world war which was used by advanced artillery observers to accompany by the tanks or motorized units of infantry. The vehicle belonged in fact to the family of the SdKfz 250 of which it was a version with intended for a particular use.

Its external appearance was similar to that of SdKfz 250, but the case of SdKfz 253 was completely closed. DEMAG/Wegman manufactured 285 vehicles of this type between 1940 and 941.
