Scum (album)

Scum is the first album of the British group of Grindcore Napalm Death. He is also regarded as one of the first recorded albums of grindcore, having left in May 1987. Scum at summer recorded twice: the face has in 1986 and the face B at the beginning of 1987.

The title You Suffer returned in the Livre Guinness of the records like the shortest song of all time with 1.316 seconds.

Pressings and versions

Like good number of albums, republished or not, Scum left with various small pockets, most current being that at yellow bottom, but one can find versions at blue, orange, gilded bottom or green

The first version CD left in 1988 included the album From Enslavement to Obliteration and 4 titles no-claims bonus drawn from the EP The Curse . In 1994, the first 2 albums will be republished separately.

Scum was republished on format vinyl in 2002:

  • European version: limited to 1000 copies of black color.
  • American version: limited to 700 copies of green color and 300 copies of red color.

Dual-CD in March 2007 republication.
