Scuderia Toro Rosso

The Scuderia Toro Rosso ( stable Red Bull , in Italian) is a stable Italy of Formule 1 founded end 2005, following the repurchase of the stable of F1 Minardi by the Austrian group Red Bull specialized in energy drink. It carries out its beginnings in competition at the time of the GP of Bahrain at the time of the championship of the world of Formule 1 2006.

The purpose of the stable Toro Rosso is to be the Junior TEAM of the stable mother Red Bull Racing, by in particular training young pilots resulting from the formulas of Red Bull promotion.

Its pilots for 2006 will be the Italian Vitantonio Liuzzi and the American Scott Speed as well as Switzerland Neel Jani as pilot tester. The stable will align the Toro Rosso STR1, single-seater derived from the Red Bull Racing RB1 of 2005 of the stable-sister. Making polemic at the beginning of season 2006 following the use of an engine V10 Cosworth attached, the stable finally returned on its modest level in end of the group.

The objectives were achieved all the same since the stable marked a point thanks to the eighth place of Liuzzi at the time of the GP of Indianapolis in the United States. For the season 2007, the pair of pilots Liuzzi-Speed was renewed in spite of the many hesitations of Gerhard Berger concerning their real potential while Neel Jani joined the Champ Because and the stable PKV racing. The stable did not have others pilot " with its disposition" , after having made turn during the winter 2006-2007 French Sebastien Bourdais, still under contract with Newman-Haas-Lanigan in the United States. Single-seat side, the STR2 resembles curiously the big sister Red Bull RB3, Adrian Newey (Red Bull chief technical officer) having quickly corrected the frame so that it can accommodate V8 Ferrari (the RB3 being motorized by Renault) and thus make it possible the team to fight with Spyker and Super Aguri. Objectives for this season 2007 being the first rise to power for this stable which will end up being concretized at the end of the season. Indeed, to the GP of China 2007, both Toro Rosso de Vettel and of Liuzzi were offered 4th and 6th place what then represented a true exploit for a stable which did not manage to take off of the bottom of the classification. But, following the example its first season, the stable of Faenza will not escape the polemic with respect to its direct rival Spyker. Indeed, under the terms of the agreements governing the Formule 1 Agrees, a team must build itself her single-seater or entrust the design of it to a third company absent from F1 circus. In the cases of STR2 and RB3, this rule was circumvented by the intervention of Red Bull Technology, a third imitation-company based in the general headquarters of Red Bull Racing with Milton Keynes (England) and directed by Adrian Newey.
