The Scouts of Kansas City were a frankness from Hockey of the National league of hockey of 1974 with 1976 based with Kansas City in the Missouri.

History

June 8th, 1972, the town of Kansas City receives the right to have a team of the LNH and the first choice of name was Mo-Hawks in order to try to join together in the name the name of the two States on which the city is located (States of the Missouri and the Kansas). But the Blackhawks of Chicago are opposed then to this name and the second choice, the scouts is then adopted.

The new frankness thus joined the LNH in company of the Capitals of Washington in 1974. The latter know a first catastrophic season and Scouts hardly make better. The idea to create a new frankness then does not seem any more one if good idea that.

At the time of the second season, Steve Durbano is the player more penalized league and in December, the team almost already sees itself in eliminatory Série (the team is then second with the classification) but the hopes fly away whereas they do not succeed in gaining that only one match on the remainder of the season.

At the end of the season, the debt of the owners rises with: 90000 Dollars and it is relocated with Denver in 1976 to become the Rockies of Colorado then thereafter, in the New Jersey in 1982. The frankness then becomes the Devils of the New Jersey.
