The Scouts Algerian Moslems (Arab: rear RTL الكشافةالاسلاميةالجزائرية) is the main movement of Scoutisme of Algérie.
The badge of the movement represents a flower with five petals and the crescent of the Islam. The currency is Kun Musta' idan (rear RTL كنمستعدين), “are ready” in Arab.
A scout is called kashaf in Arabic.
Other sections then united with them: with Miliana the section Ibn Khaldoun , and others with Constantine, Mostaganem, Blida, Setif, Tizi Ouzou, Batna and Guelma. On the proposal of Mohamed Bouras, the league of the scouts Moslem Algerian was created and obtained the approval of the government of the Popular front in July 1939.
Encouraged by oulémas reformists, the movement propagated patriotic ideas, is guided by nationalist chiefs, and carried out many demonstrations, like that of the May 8th 1945 during which Bouzid Chaal, a young person scout, died.
Many scouts then took part in the war of independence, with the call of the moudjahidine.
She is directed by a national council of 125 elected members, whose mandate lasts four years, and a board of directors elected by the Congress, with 21 national secretaries. The financing comes partly from the State.
Noureddine Ben Braham is the general person in charge of the current movement, appointed with the Parliament and member of the democratic National council.
