Scotty Nguyen

Thuan " Scotty" Nguyen (born the October 28th 1962 in Nha Trang, Vietnam) is a player of professional Poker. Very appreciated of the public for its nice provocations often punctuated by a characteristic “baby”, Scotty is also known to have gained the WSOP Main Vent 1998 on a memorable blow. This evening, the croupier gave a full 9-9-8-8-8. Scotty, after having gently attracted its adversary in its trap, put its carpet on the last chart, rose, raised beer, and said: “you cal, gonna Be all over, baby! ”. What Kevin McBride did, and Scotty gained the WSOP Main Vent with one 9 and one better full.

At the 14 years age, it left its country on board a boat of fortune and made veil towards the United States. On the councils of one of its employers, it changed his name into Scotty because it was simpler to pronounce.

In addition to its victory to the principal tournament, it touched money in more than one hundred major tournaments.
