Scottish green party

The Scottish Green Party (PĂ rtaidh Uaine Na h-Alba in Scottish Gaelic) is the party Scottish ecologist and is full member of the Parti Green European. Until 1990, it formed integral part of the old British green Party. Then it became off a separate party of the Green Party England and Wales. This separation was done by amicable agreement: the ecologists are favorable to decentralization. Consequently, the Scottish green Party is in favor of the independence of Scotland.

The Parti green Scot profits owing to the fact that the British government created the Scottish Parlement with a system which includes a share of Représentation proportional in addition to the seats acquired by a majority Uninominal system to a turn. At the time of the first elections of this Parliament, in 1999, Scottish Green Party had an elected official at the Parliament, thanks to the representation proportionnelle.
At the time of the elections of May 1st 2003, Scottish Green Party added six new deputies to his preceding total.
