Common points with the Left Québécois
Certain politicians of the Québécois Party could compare themselves with the SNP. In political discourses, allusions are made on the common points between Catalonia, Scotland and Quebec. However, even if these political parties are posted all as being independence, they did not arrive until now gaining the battle of independence. There can be tensions between the social democrat core and the nationalist core.
As much the PQ and the SNP has facility to be made elect, as much they have difficulty, until now, to put forward their independence project. The film comfort and the indifference explains, partly, this phenomenon through the Welfare state and the consumer society.
In the beginning, the SNP was a multiform coalition of dissidents Scot of left and right-hand side. However, it increased while borrowing initially from the left of the Ploughing then towards the line with the conservatives. A similar situation occurred with the Liberal party of Quebec and the National union.
