Originating in Glasgow, Louis Freeman , known as Scottie Wilson (1891 - 1972), starts to work at the 10 years age.

At sixteen years, illiterate, it engages in the army then, towards forty, leaves to Canada where he becomes second-hand dealer. He starts to draw in his back shop.

Of return in England, it yields its works at very low price. An exposure of its works is organized in London; scandalized by the prices, it settles in front of the gallery where it sells off its drawings with the passers by. Its works were collected by Pablo Picasso and André Breton and, although belonging to rough art, her drawings appears in many museum of which the Tate Gallery London.
