It seems that the Celtic ambassadors that Alexandre Large the receives in 335 on the the Danube, like in 324 with Babylon, are of Scordisques. In 279 they belong to the bands which plunder Delphes but are then pushed back by the king of Macedonia Antigone II Gonatas. In 278 they found, under the direction of a king known under the name of Bathanatos, a Oppidum (Singidunum) near the current city of Belgrade. Of this place they found an important kingdom and dominate the tribes Pannonia does not enter the Save and the Drave. On several occasions they threaten Macedonia and the Greece. Thus, in 135, Scordisques launch a raid on Greece which is stopped by their defeats vis-a-vis the Romains. In 114 they plunder the sanctuary of Delphes again and are again beaten by Rome in 85.
Between 78 and 76 they are combined with Mithridate VI in its fight against the Roman République. However these successive defeats against the emergent power of Rome break Scodisques. Thus towards 63, the king dace Burebista seizes their kingdom and towards 60 the tribes pannoniennes seem independent (Mithridate in its project to invade the Italy by Balkans does not refer any more to Scordisques but only with the Pannons). Scordisques are hardly any more mentioned in the ancient sources after the years 50.
