Scol
Standard Cryo OnLine Language or SCOL is a language interpreted initiated by the Cryo-Interactive company in 1995. After the bankruptcy of the company, it became a free project (license of the type BSD) in March 2003. Its development continues since thanks to a community of impassioned. The language is multi-platform, the compiler exists for Windows, Linux and MacOS (not X) under different versions.
Scol is primarily used to conceive applications network interactive , and more particularly in 3D .
Its strong points:
- its capacities networks completely integrated and transparent for the user as for the developer;
- its interactive strong potential.
Its weak points:
- its confidentiality;
- the version Linux is available in beta release only and the version MacOS X is nonup to date.
Tools are created and/or maintained in order to help the originators in their projects. In particular, the creation of Internet sites in 3D is very facilitated thanks to the software SCS (Site Constructor Set, free software written in Scol) which offers a creation thanks to simple handling to the mouse.
Simple a Plugin, multilangue, free and free is necessary to open, see, test, create all the applications written in Scol.
