Scissors of hairstyle

The scissors of hairstyle are Ciseau X used specifically in practice of the hairstyle.

Right scissors

The two inner faces of the blades, called the plane ones, must be slightly concave S in order to have between them one contact point, on the level of the thumb screw. The edges must be slightly curved. The edge can be smooth to cross and fray or with microphone-teeth (extremely fine teeth of saw) to only cross.

The scissors sculptors

The lower blade is normal but the higher blade is notched. They give a rational balance of fraying and cut. They make it possible to shorten slightly a hair all while thinning it and by carving it.

Scissors to be frayed

The two blades are notched. Allow, like the scissors sculptors, to fray hair but are not usable to cross.

Curved scissors

They are much used. They are used to cut the Moustache S and to trace the turns of Oreille S.

The scissors relief more

They are used to carve and obtain very burst effects. (smooth lower blade; very notched higher blade, to 5,7 or 9 teeth)

The scissors désépaississeurs

These are scissors of which one of the blades is normal whereas the other is a kind of small comb. These scissors are only used to remove thickness of a volume of hair.
