In the Greek Mythology, Sciron (in Greek old Σκίρων / Skírôn ), wire of Poséidon, Pélops or Pylas according to the authors, is king of Mégare.

He marries Chariclo, the girl of Cychrée (king of Salamine) and a girl will have some: Endéis.

It settled in a place called “Rocks scironiennes” where the road passed skirting the coast. It forced the travellers to wash the feet to him then it precipitated them in the sea where a tortoise came to devour them. Thésée, on the way of Athens, killed it.
