The Scillies , or Scilly Isles (England Islands off Scilly, in language Cornique Enesow Syllan ), form a Archipel with the outlet of the Manche, in the Atlantic Ocean, extending on 16,33  km ².

Formerly part of the county of Cornouailles, the archipelago is nowadays an administrative unit sui generis of the the United Kingdom.

Economically, the archipelago depends on the duchy of Cornouailles, which provides the income of the Prince de Galles, which does not receive a State grant. Tourism is most important industry, with agriculture (export of flowers) and the fishing.

Five islands of the archipelago are inhabited: : 2153 inhabitants, according to the Census of 2001, thus répartis : St Mary' S (: 1666 hab.), Tresco (180 hab.), St Martin' S (142 hab.), St Agnes and Bryher (these two last islands dividing 165 hab.) the remainder of the archipelago consists of uninhabited small islands.
