Post personal
One finds today on the market of the personal stations of type PC equipped with one or more graphics cards allowing to make scientific visualization. It is often of a PC (or a Macintosh), with one or more Processeur S, of the central memory in quantity (for the graphic treatment), a large space disc and especially, a powerful graphics card.
This graphics card itself is equipped with a processor (the Graphics processor or GPU), with a treatment unit and a fast memory. It communicates with the other elements of the computer through a drunk. Previously, one found a bus AGP, today it acts of bus PCI Express.
