Created in 2002 under name SPoW for Science Parks off Wallonia , the Network of scientific Parcs Walloon gathers six scientific and technological Parks:

• Leuwen-the-New Park Science,

• Liege Park Science in Liege,
• Crealys in Gembloux,
• Aéropole in Gosselies,
• Initialis in Mons,
• Qualitis in Enghien.

the common goal is to support the reception of Walloon companies and foreign rounds firstly towards high technologies and the relations company-universities .

Extending on 557 hectares, the six members of SPoW accommodate today 340 companies, including 35 Spin-off S, which employ approximately 9000 people.

From their specific organization and their bonds with the universities and the research centres, the scientific and technological Parks Walloon contribute to instigate the Compétitivité area by developing the products of the Innovation resulting from the universities and the research centres near their companies.

The life sciences and the technologies the information are two transverse competences in term of branches of industry. Each park is distinguished however others by one or more other (S) pole (S) from activity (S) clean (S), for example chemistry with the Leuwen-the-New Science Park, the management of quality with CREALYS, electronics and the space one in Sart Tilman, the new materials and engineering with Initialis and aeronautics and graphic arts in Aéropole.
