Origin and geographical distribution
It comes from the south of Italy. It is classified recommended in the area Campanie. In 1998, it covered 440 ha.
Characters ampelographic

Technological potential
The bunches and the bays are of large size. The bunch is slightly conical or cylindrical. The type of vine is of good strength preferring a long size.It gives wines very coloured. The wines are to be consumed in the year. Generally it is vinified in assembly with the type of vines piedirosso and aglianico.
