Presentation

The École of staff is a military academy French located at Compiegne. It trains the future officers of staff. The latter initially constituted a particular body (the body of staff). The École of application of the royal Body staff was created in 1818 and was opened to the best pupils of the schools of Saint-Cyr military school (those which had made a success of the contest of the school of staff). From now on, it trains officers of the weapons (of the Army) and services intended to be useful in staff.

Note

There exists also a school with the Canada: the School of staff of the Canadian Forces, with Toronto, which opened its doors in 1960 under the name of Collège of staff of the ARC (affiliated with Air Force Canada).
