School of biblio-economics and the information sciences

The School of biblio-economics and the information sciences (EBSI) is a vocational school of Québécois higher education in Information sciences and libraries. It is located at the Quebec and formed integral part of the Université of Montreal. It is the single establishment Francophone of North America decreeing the Maîtrise in information sciences, approved by the American Library Association.

It was founded in 1937 and proposes three education levels today: the certificate, control and the doctorate. It is possible to receive there a teaching directed in Bibliothéconomie, in Archivistique, strategic Gestion of information, in Gestion of the electronic information or Gestion of the numerical information.
