Schmidt (Schmidt Spiele) is a German company specialized in the toys, the puzzles and the board games for children, families or adults.
The founder, Josef Friedrich Schmidt made known himself by his adaptation of the Ludo called Mensch ärgere dich nicht , always published in French under the name do not make You of it.
Schmidt published plays considered like Acquire and Dampfross.
In 1997, Schmidt knew economic difficulties and was taken again by the Berliner editor Blatz which continues to use the mark. Schmidt distributes the plays of the house Hans im Glück, whose several titles were preceded in Germany.
There was a French subsidiary company of which the development was independent. It belongs now to the group France Charts.
